I am Forced to Admit It

The current chapter is totally screwed. I've come to a complete halt. So it's back to writing up whatever comes to mind until it starts to pull together.

For me, the worst part of writing something a second time is that I have trouble distinguishing between what I've actually included in the second draft, and what I'm only remembering from the first one.

I found this very difficult on the Old Thesis. I kept referring back to things that I hadn't explained in the current draft. And its chapters were very clearly defined; there was no prospect of something that could be in a different chapter. Here, pieces move from chapter to chapter with each draft.

Things are more complex his time. It's like I have a map of the London underground and have to somehow redraw it so that all the stations are in the same order but now appear in a single straight line. So the complex appears simple. But not in my mind it isn't.
