I'd never been to the new wing of the National Portrait Gallery before. It's down by Lake Burley Griffen, almost hidden from view.
The exhibition consisted contained a large number of photographs and lots of memorabilia, such as platinum records and her Logie and Aria awards. But the heart of the exhibit was the costumes - some of the most spectacular designs that you will ever see. The exhibit includes many of great significance, such as the costumes worn at Kylie's appearances at Mardi Gras in 1994 and the Olympic Games in 2000. There's the PVC bodice from Rhythm of Love and the those gold lamé hot pants.
The exhibit moves on to Brisbane in September and the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney in December.
