1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before? Got a boat operator's licence.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Didn't make any. Don't think I will next year either.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No.
4. Did anyone close to you die? No.
5. What countries did you visit? United States, Canada and Singapore.
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004? A girlfriend :)
7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? Can't think of any.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Presentation of paper at Chief of Army's Conference.
9. What was your biggest failure? NaNoWriMo.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nope. No sick days used again this year. No bike injuries.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Laptop computer.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration? Sandringham Football team. Australian Men's Hockey Team. Pretty much the entire Olympic Team actually.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? The people who voted for John Howard. 
14. Where did most of your money go? The bank I'm afraid. I'm terrible with money.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? The Mont 24 Bicycle Race.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004? Dido, White Flag. See question 40.

     a) happier or sadder? Happier.
     b) thinner or fatter? The same.
     c) richer or poorer? Richer. Pay rise. Bonus. 
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Bicycle riding.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? With my parents, sister and nieces.

22. Did you fall in love in 2004? Nope.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? No.
26. What was the best book you read? Raising Churchill's Army.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? M2M, The Big Room.
28. What did you want and get? Broadband internet.
29. What did you want and not get? A Federal Labor government.
30. What was your favourite film of this year? Mean Girls.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 40. Went to dinner with Mum and Dad.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: Being 40 isn't as bad as it sounds. It's much worse.
