Secondary Sources

"Secondary Sources" is historian talk for what other people call "books". There aren't any books on logistics in SWPA per se. I have copies of most of the official histories, purchased new or (more often) second hand. The US Army ones - the "Green Books" - are the most useful. I have 56 of them. The latest one, "Strategic Planning for Coalition Warfare 1941-1942" arrived in the mail from a second hand bookstore in Sydney the other day.

When Colin Powell wanted to convince people that he knew something about generalship, he had a set of the Green Books installed on the shelves behind his desk.
