Thesis Review Panel

Got this one in the email today:

Please advise your availability for a meeting with the Review Panel on Monday 10 April 2006 at 11:45. The Panel consists of P/G Coordinator (Research) Prof James Cotton, Chairperson, Prof David Lovell, Deputy HOS and your Supervisor. The meeting will be held in room E215 - David Lovell's office and should only take approx 10-15 minutes. Your attendance at the Review Panel meeting is not mandatory if you are living interstate (Jeffrey advised this may be the case). Please note if you are able to attend but are unavailable on this day I am happy to reschedule at a time to suit you. If you choose not to attend Jeffrey has indicated that he will be happy to report in your absence.

I've never attended one of these, so I have no idea what to expect. Bad sign: Jeff has left a backdoor exit.
